Burning Tour To CD


For best results read through or look at the screen shots through the tutorial before starting to the process of burning the CD. Even though the tutorial may appear long don't be intimidated by it. This was written for those that are unfamiliar with Windows Vista.

  • Make sure you have the following:
    • A CD-RW or a DVD-RW Drive
    • Blank CD
  • First insert the blank CD into your computer. Wait until the “AutoPlay” screen pops up and close down the window.

  • Now we will download the tour. Go to where you can view your Obeo Tour. This can be done by either opening the tour from the Members Area or you can type the Obeo Tour Address (example: http://www.obeo.com/441205) directly into the address bar in your internet browser.
  • Once the Tour is open, click on the Tools button.

  • Click on Download Tour

  • A new screen will pop up and will create the files that you will need to download.

  • Click on the .exe file and save the file to your desktop. Do not rename the tour.

  • Now click on the autorun.inf file and save that to your desktop. Do not rename the autorun.inf

  • Close down the download window, and you will see both the .exe file and the autorun.inf file on you desktop.
  • Highlight both the .exe file and the autorun.inf file. This can be done by doing a drag box and selecting both icons or clicking on .exe file and then while holding down the control button on your keyboard select the autorun.inf.

  • Right click on one of the files and select Copy

  • Go to the Start button on the left bottom corner of your screen and select Computer if using Vista, or My Computer if using XP.

  • A new screen will open and you will see under Devices with Removable Storage a CD-RW or DVD-RW Drive. Right click on the drive and select Explore.

  • A window will pull up and start formatting the CD. You do have the option at this time to rename the disk and press the Next button to continue or you can just select Next button to continue. This will not show in XP.

  • Wait a moment for the drive to format.

  • When your computer is done formatting the drive you will just see the Explorer Window with white blank space. Right Click anywhere in the white space and select Paste.

  • Both of the files will then copy from the desktop and paste into the CD-RW drive. Now click on any area of white space in the window and select Close session, or “Write files to CD” in XP.

  • You will see a pop-up window in the bottom right of your screen that will say, “Closing session” in Vista.

  • Wait until the pop-up window says, Disc Ready. Now you can eject the CD from your computer.

  • At this point you are done. However if you would like to ensure the CD works re-insert the CD, and wait for the AuotPlay screen to pop-up. Select the Run option.

  • The tour will now open and you will be able to access the panoramas and still photography.
